The cost of music lessons depends mostly on format. At Houston Conservatory of Music, membership combines weekly private lessons with weekend group classes for one simple monthly price, and new students currently save 25 percent on their first two months when enrolling in November or December 2026. Foundation, with 30 minute weekly private lessons, is $165 a month instead of the regular $220. Accelerated, with hour long weekly private lessons, is $308 a month instead of $410.
Weekend group classes come through our Music Ensembles plan at $112 a month, and are also included as part of membership for private lesson students. For families who prefer instruction at home instead of our studio, In-Home Instruction is available upon request at $115 an hour or $70 per 30 minutes, serving Houston Heights, Downtown, Rice, Montrose, and Midtown.
A one-time $25 enrollment fee applies when a new student joins, and monthly tuition is billed on the first of each month. Full details on enrollment, billing, and policies are available in our Enrollment Terms and Conditions, linked in the footer of every page.
Current plans and pricing are always listed on our Membership Plans section, and a free trial lesson is the easiest way to find the format that fits your family before enrolling.
